Meet the team.

Ali Webber MVB MRCVS  –  Head Veterinary Surgeon

Ali graduated from Padua, Italy, in 2002 and has been with us since 2011.  As well as being part of the veterinary team she also takes on the role of practice manager.  She’s currently undertaking a certificate in small animal surgery to enhance her skills.  Ali loves family time and visiting her relatives in Italy.

Liam O’Connor BVSc MRCVS  –  Veterinary Surgeon

Liam graduated in 2012 from the University of Bristol and joined the Summer Lane team in 2017 with his lovable schnoodle, Malcolm.  He’s particularly interested in the surgical aspect of the veterinary role including laparoscopy procedures. Malcolm is very excited to be learning dog agility at the moment and enjoys joining Liam on his adventures; he has even been to the top of Snowdon!

Stacey Hall BVSc MRCVS  –  Veterinary Surgeon

Stacey qualified in 2015 from the University of Bristol and joined us in 2017.  Her interests include surgical and emergency medicine.

Outside of work she enjoys walking, horse riding and agility with her golden, working cocker spaniel, Luna.

Holly Wood RVN BSc Hons  –  Registered Veterinary Nurse

Holly first joined our team as a student and has now joined us full time after graduating at the University of Bristol in 2015.  She runs our weekly puppy parties and is enthusiastic about rabbit welfare and care.  Holly is kept busy outside of work by her Cocker Spaniel, Sage, as well as her cat, Rue and 2 bunnies, Misty and Barley.

Natalie Croucher RVN  –  Registered Veterinary Nurse

Nat qualified in 2004 and joined the nursing team in 2014.  She is an advanced pet health counsellor and an advocate in rabbit health and husbandry.  Her interests include medical nursing, anaesthesia and nutrition; as well as running our free weight management clinics! Nat has a dog called Reggie, cat called Wilbur and 2 bunnies.

Sarah Jenner RVN  –  Registered Veterinary Nurse

Sarah qualified in 1992 and joined the nursing team in 2015.  She is particularly interested in animal behaviour and is our advocate for our cat friendly standards.  Outside of work her hobbies include dog agility, riding her horse, Geri, as well as exploring Somerset and Cornwall with her husband Martin.

Sarah Spencer RVN  –  Registered Veterinary Nurse

Sarah qualified in 2008 and joined the Summer Lane team in 2014. As well as being a Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor for our weight clinics, Sarah is particularly interested in animal behaviour. Outside of work she enjoys family adventures with her daughter and son, and spending time with her two cats.

Tracey Willshear  –  Animal Nursing Assistant

Tracey joined the company in 2008 as a student animal nursing assistant and then carried on to qualify in 2010.  She works in many different areas of the practice, including roles in reception and nursing patients.  Tracey thoroughly enjoys walking her Labrador, Beau, and spending time with her two grandchildren.

Jackie Peak  –  Receptionist and Account Manager

Being the longest standing member of staff, Jackie is now part of the furniture and is in charge of our reception and accounts.  In 2016 Jackie’s husband Alan was elected as Mayor of Weston, making Jackie a Mayoress!  As well as horse riding and long walks she loves the company of her gorgeous grandchildren.

Nick Bell  –  Receptionist and Stock manager

Nick joined us in 1998 and is one of our practice administrators. She is the ultimate multitasker with roles including receptionist, insurance guru and stock manager; as well as many others. Her hobbies include horse riding and long walks with her collies, Pod and Mishka, and holidaying in Cornwall with her husband, Jon.

Vanessa Beauchemin  –  Receptionist

Ness joined our reception team in 2015.  Always cheerful and happy to help! In her spare time, Ness enjoys cycling, horse riding, gardening and exploring the wild with her family and 2 yellow Labradors, Richard and Peter.

Jude  –  Receptionist

Jude joined the Summer Lane team in 2018. She brings many skills with her from her background in stage management. Jude works across many areas of the practice, including roles in reception, managing insurance and in-patient care.

In her spare time Jude enjoys gardening and spending time with her cheeky rabbits Mopsy, Rocky and Winthrop.
