Christmas Holiday Time!

Christmas is a time for family. For some of us, that means travelling away from home to visit friends and relatives. Sometimes our pets can come along for the ride, but sometimes they need to have a little holiday of their own. As we’re getting close to the holiday season, we thought we’d share a couple of tips about choosing and using a kennels or cattery.

Be safe, be seen

We’ll all have noticed the evenings drawing in since the clocks went back an hour.  The shorter days mean that our pets will often be out and about in the dark. Whether you’re walking the dogs after work or letting the cats out after dinner, chances are it’s going to be that little bit darker outside. We’ve put together a few tips for keeping us and our pets safe and happy after sunset.

Key hole spays now available

Summer Lane Vets is pleased to announce that we can now spay your female dog using key hole surgery. Known as a laparoscopic spay, this is an alternative to the traditional surgical method. As many of us will know from human medicine, keyhole surgery is less invasive and allows faster recovery time.
